What are the parts and characteristic
  • Parts Eye, rain band, eye wall, warm core and
    surface winds.
  • Characteristic Eye, the center of the hurricane
    and the safest and trickiest place, 300 miles
    wide and can last 2 to 4 weeks.

  • Have bottled water and package of food (canned
    food and a can opener) for at least 3 days
  • Have flashlights and a radio with batteries (have
    it handy so you can listen to storm advisories
  • Stay inside until the storm is over
  • Board up windows and..
  • Have a first aid kit
  • Protective clothing
  • Written instructions of how to turn off
    electricity,gas and water.
