  • The GridPACS project leverages the core Mobius
    services as well as Datacutter and IP4G
    middleware in order to create a grid enabled
    image analysis workflow and review system.
  • Designed to address the storage, querying, and
    processing requirements of large-scale image
    databases in a grid wide environment.
  • Enables modeling and execution of image
    processing workflows
  • Enables client-side query and review of large
    scale distributed image archives
  • Provides a user workbench to simplify the use of
    backend distributed middleware.

Mobius GridPACS
  • Mobius
  • Grid service based infrastructure enabling easy
    creation of a data grid.
  • The Mobius project identifies, defines, and
    builds a set of services and protocols enabling
    the management and integration of both data and
    data definitions.
  • Service definitions broken into two components
  • The protocol definitions.
  • The service implementation of those definitions.
  • Mobius intends to conform to all standards set
    forth by the GGF and will attempt to leverage
    relevant existing grid technologies.
  • Currently support the GGF/DAIS XML Realization

  • A toolkit that makes it easy to create parallel,
    distributed filter stream based processing
    applications.
  • Users provide application code as runnable
    filters.
  • Ability to harness a heterogeneous grid of
    compute and storage hardware in order to scale up
    user application across compute hardware.
  • Dynamic loading of filters, XML based workflow
    model.
  • Image Processing For The Grid (IP4G)
  • A toolkit that makes it easy to create parallel,
    distributed image processing applications.
  • Built on the DataCutter framework.
  • Enables using Insight Segmentation and
    Registration Toolkit (ITK) and Visualization
    Toolkit (VTK) in a grid-based computation
    environment.
  • Mobius Storage Cluster
  • Distributed and scalable generic data storage
    cluster.
  • Stores schemas that define studies, workflow,
    images, and protocol.
  • Stored data is indexed based on schemas.
  • Images can be processes in a parameter study and
    stored for later review.
  • Original images as well as processed images are
    store and can be correlated using related
    metadata information such as algorithm,
    parameters, type, etc.
