Transana-MU Building Collaborative Infrastructure

• Collaborative project between UW-Madison
  Vanderbilt
• Madison-based Internet Scout Project developing
  proposal for open-source Curriculum Builder
  project that would leverage code-base
• University of Texas-Austin assisting in
  developing internationalization effort and
  creating the Spanish language version of interface

Open Source Transana

• Keyword mapping tool first open source component
• OS X and Windows versions make serious progress
• Soliciting development partners
  internationalization, additional media formats,
  analytic modules to take advantage of relational
  DB under the hood

Multiple Media Formats

• Transana now supports most major media formats
• Ability to take advantage of proprietary codecs,
  if installed. Native support for DV format is the
  next candidate
• Requests for associating still images not yet
  done, but moving up in the queue
