temple of the LORD, between the porch and the
altar, were about twenty-five men with their
backs toward the temple of the LORD and their
faces toward the east, and they were worshiping
    the sun toward the east.

QUESTIONS EZEKIEL 816
  • 16 So He brought me into the inner court of the
LORDS house and there, at the door of the
temple of the LORD, between the porch and the
altar, were about twenty-five men with their
backs toward the temple of the LORD and their
faces toward the east, and they were worshiping
    the sun toward the east.
  • WHAT DID EZEKIEL SEE IN THE INNER COURT?
  • WHAT WERE THESE MEN DOING?
  • WHAT DID THE LORD COMMAND ISRAEL?
  • READ DEUTERONOMY 419
  • 19 And take heed, lest you lift your eyes to
heaven, and when you see the sun, the moon, and
the stars, all the host of heaven, you feel
driven to worship them and serve them, which the
LORD your God has given to all the peoples under
the whole heaven as a heritage. NKJV

READ EZEKIEL 817-18
  • ABOMINATIONS IN THE TEMPLE
  • 17 And He said to me, "Have you seen this, O son
of man? Is it a trivial thing to the house of
Judah to commit the abominations which they
commit here? For they have filled the land with
violence then they have returned to provoke Me
to anger. Indeed they put the branch to their
    nose.
  • 18 Therefore I also will act in fury. My eye
will not spare nor will I have pity and though
they cry in My ears with a loud voice, I will not
    hear them." NKJV

me and go back to Rehoboam king of Judah."
  • 28 Therefore the king asked advice, made two
calves of gold, and said to the people, "It is

  • 29 he set up one in Bethel and the other he put
    in Dan
  • WHAT DID THE LORD SAY ABOUT THIS?

before you, for you have gone and made for
yourself other gods and molded images to provoke
Me to anger, and have cast Me behind your back
