How Do Apples Grow?
  • Apple trees grow best where the average winter
    temperature is near freezing for at least 2
    months.
  • Apple trees are deciduous.
  • In late spring, white blossoms appear from the
    tiny buds on apple tree branches for about nine
    days and produce pollen and nectar.

    has been recorded.

    and migrations to Rome and Europe, apples were
    grown and new varieties developed and taken
    throughout the world.

How Do We Get New Varieties?
  • You can grow an apple tree with seeds from an
    apple, but dont wait around for any apples from
    that tree. it wont produce any unless you graft
    your apple tree.

The stock is the root portion a strong, healthy
tree. The scion is selected for its good fruit.
