3Technology and Engineering at UV
- The UV has a vast background in the application
of science to technological development. - In 1940s UV created the section of Chemical
Technology - In 1960s UV started teaching and research in
Electrical and Electronic Technologies and
Computing and Information Technologies.

- UV has full Engineering degrees from 1993
- at its inception, organized from the Faculties of
Physics and Chemistry - since 2003, structured and organized in our own
School of Engineering named Escola Tècnica
