  the Earths orbit.
• The moon rotates at the same rate it revolves.

• The phases are the varying amounts of lit moon
  as seen from the Earth.

What occurs during the waxing (New) phases of
the moon?

• More and more of the lit side of the moon becomes
  visible
• New ? Full (Right side is lit)

• Less and less of the lit side of the moon becomes
  visible
