- Some Practical Suggestions
- Buy a hymn book for your own use at home.
- Take some time during your Quiet Time to read
the lyrics of a song. - Ask yourself, Does this song refer to a
scripture? Look that reference up in a
concordance, and write it in the margin beside
the words. - Is there a word you dont understand? Night with
ebon pinion. Look it up and enrich your
understanding and appreciation of that song.

- Get a hold of tapes or CDs of acapella hymns and
give the old CW music a rest! - Dont adopt an attitude of Our singing is good
enough. - Learn new songs.
- Learn to lead singing.
- Go to a singing school.
- Adopt an attitude that if it is offered to the
Lord, then the very best I have is what I will
offer!

- Hymns Must Come From the Heart
- We need to sing from the bottom of our hearts
because our children need to see that this is
very important to us. - We need to sing from our hearts because our
warmth and zeal may encourage a weary,
discouraged fellow Christian. - We need to sing from our hearts so that visitors,
our guests, will know that we take the worship of
God seriously. - But most of all We need to sing from our hearts
because God demands it, and nothing less!
