Karibik 2 - pobřeží / Fragment of the Caribbean 2 - Coastlines (Steve) Karibik je subregión Ameriky tvorený prevažne reťazou vyše 700 ostrovov a ostrovčekov obklopujúcich Karibské more. Nachádza sa juhovýchodne od Mexického zálivu. Táto tropická oblasť je ohrozovaná každoročnými hurikánmi, ktorých sezóna trvá od júna do novembra. Hlavný hurikánový pás sa tiahne na severozápad od ostrova Barbados vo východnom Karibiku. V regióne sa nachádza približne 8 % svetových koralových útesov. Základnou plodinou pestovanou v Karibiku je cukrová trstina.
