children in getting education and thereby
enabling them to establish in the society - To assist poor and needy women in getting
training so that they can be financially
contributing members of the family - To help starving and sick people with food,
clothing and healthcare

- In 2002, the ECHO team, in collaboration with
other organizations, accomplished following
projects - Provided scholarships for 100 needy and
meritorious students - Distributed fitrah among 475 poor and needy
people of Bangladesh - Arranged 44 qurbanis for the benefit of the poor

8ECHO QURBANI PROJECT
- With our donors' help we sent 44 qurbanis (35
shares of cow and 9 goats) to Bangladesh. - These qurbanis were done in Sadar and Bera
Upozilas of Pabna district and in Halishahar
Upozila of Chittagong district. - 409 families benefitted from this program, each
receiving 1.5 kg to 2.0 kg of meat. - We also arranged slaughtering a cow in an
eatimkhana (orphanage) at Joydevpur as a sadaqa
for the benefit of orphans there.

- Our goal is to bring them out of poverty
