  • Desert Dawg Racin was formed in 1999 with Wayne
Pugh riding a 1988 Harley Davidson Sportster in
the Andrews ET (Elapsed Time) class. The team now
consists of two riders based out of Albuquerque,
New Mexico Wayne Pugh and Greg Krenik, who race
with the AHDRA (All Harley Drag Racing
Association). Wayne (36 years old) has been
riding for 17 years and racing for eight years.
Greg (48 years old) has been riding for nine
years and racing for five years. Wayne has five
career wins, and five runners up finishes. Greg
has eight career wins and one runner up finish.
  • Desert Dawg Racin will be racing Waynes Buell,
Gregs Sportster and the Pro-Stock Big Twin for
the 2007 season. Greg will compete in all
National Events and Wayne will compete in the
Western Division races. The race team competes in
the HS (Hot Street), VRD (V-Rod Destroyer), SS
(Super Sport), SG (Super Gas) and Pro-Stock (PS)
classes. Whenever time permits, Desert Dawg
Racin can be seen at the Albuquerque Dragstrip
    testing their bikes.

All Harley Drag Racing Association
  • Over 300 riders per event
  • The AHDRA has been around for 28 years. The
President is Craig Tharpe of Winston-Salem,
North Carolina. The Home office is in
    Tobaccoville, NC
  • The AHDRA goal is to continue to build the rider
base and place it in front of larger audiences by
taking the events to major venues across the
country. The growth of the AHDRA also provides
its sponsors and the sponsors of each team
greater access to their desired demographics.
  • Each event consists of three days of racing
Friday test and tune, Saturday qualifying and
    Sunday eliminations.

11
AHDRA Motorcycle stats
  • The AHDRA is growing every year and 2007 promises
to be no exception with continued support from
    its major sponsors including Harley-Davidson,
    Buell American Motorcycles, GenTech Scientific,
Tom Johnson Camping Center, Vanson Leathers,
Metzeler Tires, Rance Trailers, MAC Tools, Main
Gate Uniforms, Dynojet and Drag Specialties.
  • There are numerous sponsors for all of the racing
classes in the AHDRA that range from large
corporations to small companies. Sponsors such as
Screamin Eagle, the performance division of
    Harley-Davidson, Jims U.S.A., SS Cycle, G
squared (Bryce Smith), Samson Exhaust, Rucker
Performance, Dragmasters Race Technology and SYN
3 all have direct ties to the motor sports
industry that give them reason for major
involvement in the AHDRA. Other companies not
directly related to the industry see the benefit
of major involvement as well such as Performance
    Corner and Kresto hand cleaners.
  • The average Harley rider is in his late 40s and
earns more than 70k per year. There has been a
sharp increase in the number of women who ride
and the younger generation has increased largely
due to the Buell motorcycles that Harley-Davidson
    produces.

Sponsorship Benefits
  • Sponsoring Desert Dawg Racin provides you with a
unique opportunity to reach a diverse customer
base in one location. The age of the spectators
and racers at the AHDRA events ranges from
pre-teen to senior and everything in between.
From the E.T. racers to the Top Fuel racers the
fan base crosses every imaginable demographic.
Most race teams in both the Professional and
Sportsman ranks consist of more than just a
gear-head racer. They consist of support crews
that are the wife and kids or friends from
different professions that share the same passion
of racing motorcycles. This is a prime
opportunity to join an experienced and motivated
team that is on the rise in a sport that is
    growing in leaps and bounds.
  • Companys that choose to sponsor Desert Dawg
Racin' can use that to rally their employees
around a winning team to build morale and
camaraderie within the company. Your company can
reach thousands of fans and participants who
support the sport and its sponsors. The AHDRA is
growing and by teaming up with Desert Dawg Racin'
you have the opportunity to reach its increasing
fan base through the ever increasing media
    coverage.
  • Desert Dawg Racin would love to have you on
board for the 2007 season and many more seasons
to come. Our goals for the 2007 season are to
take the National Championships in 3 classes (PS,
SS, SG) and the Western Points Championship in
the Super Gas, Super Sport, Hot Street and V-Rod
Destroyer classes (thats 5 classes!). This will
be a very exciting season for everyone involved!
