Vital Heart & Vein was founded in 1998 by a team of highly trained cardiologists and vein specialists in Houston, Texas dedicated to providing genuine care to patients. Our heart and vein specialists provide a full spectrum of diagnostic testing, comprehensive therapies, and interventional/electrophysiologic procedures utilizing the latest technology. We provide care that ensures our patients can live life to the fullest. It’s just one more way we’re striving to be the best cardiologists in the greater Houston area.
When the heart experiences a cardiac rhythm disturbance, an electrophysiology study (ESP) can be done to locate the source of the irregularity. An ESP is done in an EP lab by a specialist. You will receive an IV and a sedative, then the doctor will insert a catheter that is guided through the blood vessels to the heart chambers. The catheters are attached to a device that measures the electrical impulses inside your heart. Cardiac ablation works by scarring or destroying tissue in your heart that triggers or sustains an abnormal heart rhythm. In some cases, cardiac ablation prevents abnormal electrical signals from entering your heart and, thus, stops the arrhythmia. Cardiac Device Implantation is a term that encompasses pacemakers for bradyarrhythmia treatment, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) for tachyarrhythmia management, and cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) devices for systolic dysfunction with conduction delays.
Electrophysiology devices are the medical devices utilized in the electrophysiology diagnostic and treatment procedures. Electrophysiology is carried out for the assessment of an individual’s condition of the heart, helping physician’s identify arrhythmia or vulnerable heartbeats. These devices vary in functionalities and components with each different device providing individual benefits.

North America Electrophysiology Market Size is Estimated To Exceed USD 3.5 Billion By 2027.Novel product launch and growing incidence of several cardiac arrhythmias is set to gradually stimulate electrophysiology market growth. The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly disrupted the healthcare industry up to great extent. It has impacted the business sales of several firms and subsequently the revenue generated through elective and non-emergent procedures. With such impact, the number of electrophysiology procedures conducted in 2020 witnessed considerable downfall and has thereby negatively influenced the overall North America electrophysiology market size. However, with growing incidence of heart rhythm disorders and subsequent deterioration in prevalence of coronavirus infection, the industry is forecasted to recover and gradually grow in the foreseeable future to meet the unmet market demand.

In 2022, the global revenue from the electrophysiology ablation market reached US$ 3.1 billion. Projections indicate a robust compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.8%, propelling the market valuation to an estimated US$ 7.9 billion by the conclusion of 2033. This signifies a significant surge in market expansion over the forecast period.
Europe Electrophysiology Market Size is Estimated to Surpass USD 3.4 Billion By 2027.A Significant increase in number of patients with cardiac diseases, leading to high risk of heart stroke will influence the electrophysiology revenue growth during forecast period. COVID-19 has impacted the Europe electrophysiology market size during the pandemic period due to reduction procedural volume. Emergence of viral infection hampered product sales of several firms, thereby resulting in declined revenue growth. However, constant organizational efforts and relatively reduced prevalence of COVID-19 in some countries is expected to boost the industry growth over forecast period.

Asia Pacific Electrophysiology (EP) Market Size is estimated to cross USD 2.5 Billion By 2027. Increasing prevalence of cardiac disorders such as atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter and tachycardia among others in the region and launch of new advanced products will influence electrophysiology revenue growth during forecast period. The recent COVID-19 pandemic has negatively impacted the electrophysiology procedures upto some extent. Elective procedures were differed during the initial phase of the outbreak to reduce cross contamination in healthcare settings. However, as COVID-19 cases are declining across the globe, the APAC electrophysiology market will witness gradual growth in the future.
