Volunteer vacations take you and your family out of your comfort zone. Hands Up Holidays mostly work with families, but are thrilled to help couples (including honeymooners aka ‘honeyteers’) and solo travelers as well. We love enabling retirees to leave a legacy in luxury too.

Holidays do us the world of good, giving us a break from routine, a chance to unwind, and the opportunity to meet new people, make friends and broaden our horizons. Holidays also strengthen family bonds. If your circumstances allow, consider helping less fortunate children and families take a holiday or break.

Hands Up Holidays has rounded up the best ethical vacations for animal lovers around the world. All of these wildlife vacations will educate you about relevant issues and promote animal and environmental conservation — not to mention many of them allow you to volunteer with the animals.

Volunteering as a family can be life-changing and unusual. It can be inspiring and life-changing as you help to make a positive impact on the project you work with. A meaningful holiday experience will be rewarding for parents and children ... and definitely unforgettable!

While the need to feed hungry families is constant, the Thanksgiving, Advent and Christmas season is traditionally a time of increased Knights of Columbus outreach to feed hungry people. Knights of Columbus councils throughout the Order participate in a wide range of programs – under the umbrella of the Food for Families initiative – to provide sustenance to those in need.
