Agenda Item 1.6 - (4)
  • Resolution 955 (Rev.WRC-07)
  • Consideration of procedures for free-space
    optical links
  • resolves
  • to consider possible procedures for free-space
optical links, taking into account the results of
ITU-R studies covering at least sharing aspects
with other services, a clear definition of the
band limits and measures to be considered if
allocations to various services in the Radio
Regulations above 3 000 GHz are considered
    feasible,
  • invites ITU-R
  • to conduct the necessary studies in time for
    consideration by WRC-11.

Agenda Item 1.6 (5)
Related ITU-R Recommendation ITU-R RS.1804
(Technical and operational characteristics of
Earth exploration-satellite service (EESS)
systems operating above 3 000 GHz) (2007)
recommends that operators of EESS systems ope
rating above 3 000 GHz should take into account
the possibility of interference from transmitters
of the science services (including those of EESS)
in their selection of mission requirements and
choices of sensor design 2 that studies of int
erference to and from EESS systems operating
above 3 000 GHz should take into account the
technical and operational parameters provided in
Annex 1.

Agenda Item 1.11 - (3)
  • Resolution 753 (Rev.WRC-07)
  • Use of the band 22.55-23.15 GHz by the space
    research service
  • resolves
  • to invite ITU-R to conduct sharing studies
between space research service systems operating
in the Earth-to-space direction and the fixed,
inter-satellite and mobile services in the band
22.55-23.15 GHz, to recommend appropriate sharing
criteria for an allocation to the space research
    service in the Earth-to-space direction
  • to invite WRC-11 to review the results of the
studies under resolves 1 and consider the
inclusion of the sharing criteria within the
    Radio Regulations and appropriate modifications
to the Table of Frequency Allocations,
