- The purpose of the COC program is to provide the

an avenue of appeal to a contracting officer's

- Meets the size standard for its industry as
designated by the applicable NAICS code

business?
- A business can self-certify as a small

11Interface Between PRO-Net and CCR
- Effective January 1, 2004, PRO-Net was folded
into the Dept. of Defense Centralized Contractor
Registration (CCR). - All firms that wish to do business with the
Government must be registered in the CCR. - You must now use the CCR, rather than PRO-Net, to
update business profile (http//www.ccr.gov).

- Users searching for small businesses will access
CCR and click on Dynamic Small Business Search
(DSBS) - DSBS will be the official web site for verifying
the certification of 8(a) firms, SDBs, and
HUBZone firms.

16Making the Most of Your Small Business Status
- Both federal contracting activities and prime
contractors are looking for SBs, SDBs (8(a) firms
are by definition a SDB firm), HUBZone SBs,
WOSBs, Veteran Owned SBs, - and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned SBs to bid
on their requirements. - Identify your firm as an SB, 8(a), SDB, HUBZone
SB, WOSB, Veteran Owned SB, and/or Service
