• Combined Nomenclature (CN) and conversion
  function for the most common currencies available

IDEP/CN8 programme

• Programme developed by Eurostat
• Windows programme and free of charge
• Suitable also for the use of agents
• Introduction
• Registration to Customs as a user
• Customs provides the terminal code(s)
• Programme can be ordered from Customs (cd-rom) or
  upload and update on Customs internet pages at
  the address www.tulli.fi/ulkom/intrastat/idep
• On installation and use of the programme guidance
  available from IDEP supporting team in Customs
  (t. 020 492 4111 / fax. 020 492 4087, email
  idep_at_tulli.fi)
• Suitable for declarants, who have about 30-250
  lines on monthly declaration

IDEP/CN8 programme

• Advantages of IDEP/CN8 programme
• Service in Finnish and English
• Testing is not required when taking into use
• Data can be entered by collecting them from the
  invoice
• Data can be imported from the companys other
  data systems
• Programme contains the complete CN8 nomenclature
  
• CN code for goods can be defined with the help
  of directory display or key words
• By using commodity code directory the companys
  own code of goods can be converted as CN8 codes.

• Advantages of IDEP/CN8 programme
• Programme checks the correctness of the entered
  data
• Contains auxiliary functions for entering data
• e.g. Codes and their explanations as well as
  checks
• Additional applications like copying, line
  models, currency conversions as well as
  calculation formulas and reports
• Declaration can be sent to Customs
• On diskette
• Emailed as an attachment file (automatic/manual)
• Automatic encryption of data (PGP programme)
• Acknowledgement to the declarant about the
  successful transmission

• Preconditions for IDEP/CN8 programme
• Programme is designated for PC or on network
• Device requirements
• Operating system
• - MS Windows 95/98/ME/NT, MS Windows 2000 tai XP
• CD-Rom reader or Internet connection for the
  instalment of the programme
• Display with resolution of 800x600
• 60 mb free space on hard disk
• Disc drive (3,5) or email
• Internet-connection for updates

• Intrastat declaration can be output as an ASCII
  file, where certain record model is used
• ASCII file shall be transmitted to Customs on
  diskette or by email
• Introduction
• Registration for testing in Customs
• The record description and terminal code is
  available from Customs
• Suitable for declarants, who have at least 250
  CN lines or more in monthly declarations

• Acknowledgement to the declarant on the
  successful transmission
• Customs sends a correction list on errors found

  structure is similar but data contents
  abridged
• Data can be imported from declarants systems
