8.50. Children arrive at school and wait for the
bell to ring.

9.00 AM. Pupils line up and go into their own
classrooms

9.10. Children in kindergarden put on their
overalls. Teachers help them they are only 3
year olds!

9.15. They start their daily routines 4 year old
children are looking for todays menu in the
school canteen.

All the class is listening and helping

In another class, a boy is sticking a house
sticker next to the companions that are missing
today.

The cook has to know how many children will be
today in the school canteen, so a boy is in
charge of asking how many and who stay today.

This girl is in charge of sticking todays
weather drawing. We need lots of stickers with a
big sun!! ?

The 3 year old children are singing a Good
Morning song before starting

9.20 The woman in charge of the canteen is
laying the tables for todays meal.

10.00 Our cook is preparing todays meal once he
knows how many children are staying today.

9.15 5th level children start working

9.10 Some children need time to sit down and
have everything ready to start. (2nd level)

10.00 Now everybody is working hard. This is 1st
level class (6 year olds)

10.15 We have a special class for children that
have just arrived to our country and dont know
the Catalan language. They go with a special
teacher until they speak Catalan and can join the
rest of the group. But they go to the general
class when Music, Arts and P.E. They can be in
this special class only for 2 years time. But
some of them need far less than 2 years!

10.20 AM Sometimes teachers have to work as
doctors as well! The girl is sick and the teacher
is checking her temperature. If shes got a
temperature, we call parents and come to school
to get their children.

10.30 AM the bell rings and we have a 30 minutes
break to have a snack and play.

Some children play a kind of bowling called
birles. Its very popular in our school. And
this girl is the Catalonian Champion 2008!! Dont
bet against her!

10.30 AM What about the children in the
kindergarden? They have their own playground

They love playing on the ground with their
plastic buckets and shovels and guess who has
the dirtiest hands in the school

Definitely, they should wash their hands when in
the classroom before touching even a pencil!

Sometimes the teacher in charge of sports
organises competitions

11.00 Back to work. We have a special class for
English classes, as there are lot of materials
that the teacher doesnt need to carry from one
class to another, like storybooks, flashcards,
DVD player, CD player

11.15 Art class. 2nd level.

Meanwhile, in the school offices everybody is
working

class. Ssshhh! They are working very quietly ?

12.00 Its time for the kindergarden children to
go home and have lunch (some of them stay in the
schools canteen) So, jackets, gloves, and
goodbye till 3.00PM!

12.15 AM Nobody is in the kindergarden
corridors. Overalls remain alone

12.30 AM Computers classroom. 5th level.
Kindergarden pupils have their own computers
classroom
And there are more computers in the music
classroom

12.30 AM Lunch is ready! The kindergarden
children are having lunch

Some of them need help perhaps he doesnt like
this excellent soup?

12.45 AM Its been a hard morning, so not
everybody is concentrated in work!

1.30 AM Children have gone home till 3.00PM.
Teachers remain 1 more hour for meeting, planning
and coordinate .

Some of the teachers are planning in the staff
room. Others are in their classrooms or in other
meetings.

In the afternoon, from 3.00 PM to 5.00 PM we have
two more classes. Then at 5 everybody goes home.
Primary children go home on their own, but
Kindergarden children must be given one by one to
parents by the teacher.
Parents wait outside the kindergarden to have
their children back.

At 5.00 PM everybody goes home, and the school
remains in silent. Everybody? No, there are some
extra sport activities until 6.00 PM. Heres the
basket trainer in action, but other days we have
rollerskating, theatre, Catalan bitlles (kind
of bowling) and handball.

5.15 And, of course, our housewives team is
ready to start their job. They are cleaning the
school from 5.00 to 8.00 PM
