Nový Zéland — Wai-O-Tapu (Steve) "Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland je aktívna geotermálna oblasť na južnom konci vulkanického centra Okataina. Pred príchodom Európanov bola domovom kmeňa Ngati Whaoa. Názov Wai-O-Tapu v jazyku Maorov znamená „posvätné vody“. Leží severne od kaldery Reporoa, v novozélandskej vulkanickej zóne Taupo. Má rozlohu 18 km2 a od Rotorua je vzdialené 27 kilometrov. Geotermálna oblasť vznikla prepadnutím sopečného krátera asi pred 200 tisíc rokmi. Je chránenou scénickou rezerváciou od roku 1931. Neskôr bola časť rezervácie vyčlenená pre turistické aktivity. Vďaka priaznivým geotermálnym podmienkam má Wai-O-Tapu množstvo horúcich prameňov, charakteristických svojou farebnosťou.
