Pather Panchali is a classic Bengali novel
written by Bibhutibhushon Bandopadhyay in the
year 1929. The text was later adapted into a film
by the famous director Satyajit Ray. The story
revolves around rural Bengal featuring Apu and
his elder sister, Durga. It exposes their
struggle amidst poverty and their quest for a
better life.
