Who Is Needed? Manuals Non Manuals
  • Over 40 manual trades / occupations alone are
    needed for construction
  • 12,000 manuals needed at construction peak in
    2013 2015
  • Includes banksmen, crane drivers and joiners
    (over 170 each)
  • Concrete finishers (over 450)
  • Electricians (over 1,600) and their assistants
    (over 1,600)
  • Labourers (over 1,800)
  • Mechanical fitters (over 700) and their
    assistants (over 500)
  • Over 2,700 required for underground work
    (includes some trades mentioned above)
  • 2,000 non manuals needed at their peak end of
    2011 to middle of 2013
  • Includes CLRL staff, programme managers, design
    engineers.

    training provision to deliver the Training and
    Development Plan
  • Implementation of Plan with emphasis on training
    local people into local jobs
