What is EPINet?

• Software based on MS Access (97

• User friendly
• Records and analyses in detail occupational
  exposures to blood borne viruses
• Tracks exposures and monitors results of testing
  and treatment

• 6 other European countries operate their own
  versions of EPINet
• Used in more than 40 sites throughout the UK
• 22 of which form the basis of the second year of
  an RCN surveillance project into NSIs.

  injuries
• Analyse data to identify methods of reducing
  needlestick injuries
