  • All profiles editable by most users
  • Roles created at time of profile creation
  • Role addresses editable by most users
  • All role information editable by CM users
  • Profiles do not always reflect the most recent
    information

Proposed Business RulesProfiles
  • Profile information divided into NIH-owned and
    owner-maintained
  • Owner-maintained depends on registration
  • For registered users, maintenance is self-service
    or limited number of internal NIH users
  • For non-registered users, internal NIH users
  • Profile updated by most recently provided
    information
  • Profile takes precedence over allexcept role
    copied as a point-in-time audit

  • Maintain role information as a subset of profile
    information
  • Role is a copy of profile at a point in time
  • Most fields copied from the profile information
    into the role will not be editable
  • Some fields at role level will be selectable from
    the profile (degrees, expertise)
  • Some fields at role level may remain editable
    (e.g., address, title, SRA expertise)

  • Update current role from the profile based on
    business area requirements event.
  • Examples
  • Finalizing a trainee appointment
  • Finalizing a roster
  • Provide ability to copy role-to-role
  • Always check profile for latest updates
  • The resulting role remains a subset of the
    profile

  • Role as true subset of profile at a point in time
  • Role created/copied at point in time
  • Ability to copy role-to-role, with updated
    profile information included
  • Changes as necessary to Persons Module still in
    Forms
  • Ability to change some role-level info
