- Profile information divided into NIH-owned and
owner-maintained - Owner-maintained depends on registration
- For registered users, maintenance is self-service
or limited number of internal NIH users - For non-registered users, internal NIH users
- Profile updated by most recently provided
information - Profile takes precedence over allexcept role
copied as a point-in-time audit

information - Role is a copy of profile at a point in time
- Most fields copied from the profile information
into the role will not be editable - Some fields at role level will be selectable from
the profile (degrees, expertise) - Some fields at role level may remain editable
(e.g., address, title, SRA expertise)
