May 31, 2007 . . . . I took a tour of the
library first, and then got to work on my first
project at, get this, my very own desk! I didn't
get to spend much time at the desks, as my
project turned out to be a PowerPoint
presentation describing different aspects of UT
and the Health Science Center (HSC). Submitted

15, 2007 Today we had our first Friday chat with
the interns in Houston. I really didnt know
what to expect at first but we eventually fell
into a flow and after a while it felt like
talking to a friend.

Careers in Health Information,
Librarianship, And Informatics (CHILI) High
School to Health Sciences Librarianship and
Informatics Secondary school students are engaged
in a variety of learning activities investigating
biomedical information careers and the academic
paths that can lead them there. To be eligible,
students must be a member of an underrepresented
minority group in the field of health sciences
librarianship and informatics, be a resident of
Shelby County, in grades ninth through twelfth,
have at least a 2.5 GPA and/or a composite ACT
score of 16, and have a demonstrated interest in
health information careers. For further
