spell. Excluding Sophie and JS who knows what
this word says Photi

sound Therefore Photi in a childs mind may say
FISH if they had learnt their phonics. As a
result I was told that when correcting childrens
work not to automatically say a word is spelt
incorrectly but instead to see if they have spelt
the word phonetically.

homophones. However, the same principle applies.
