What is a Tsunami

• Tsunamis are a series of waves that occur in an
  ocean or another large body of water.

What are conditions that cause weather event to
happen?

• Tsunamis are usually caused by earthquakes that
  occur on the seafloor or in coastal areas.

Where did a Tsunami happen?

• A Tsunami has happened in Latoya Bay, Alaska,
  Japan, and Indonesia. A Tsunami has also
  happened in the Chilean Coast, California, and
  Hawaii.

Consequences

• The consequences are homes being destroyed,
  animals getting killed, and people also being
  killed. There are consequences also like people
  only getting hurt and animals also getting hurt.

What can we do to prevent damage?

• We could do things like get in your car stepping
  on the gas and getting out of there. You should
  also try to get to higher ground. The last thing
  you should turn off all electricity.

Interesting Information

• Did you know that since 1992 tsunamis have
  claimed over 2000 lives world wide, also the most
  destructive tsunamis was the Chilean Tsunami.
  Also about 1728 people have died/ not even half
  the world.
