• There are five Olympic rings, they mean the five
  inhabited continents. The Olympic motto is
  Citius-Altius-Fortius which means faster, higher,
  stronger. The I.O.C stands for international
  Olympic committee. The next time the Olympics are
  held in Britain is 2012. There were games such
  as
• running, jumping, chariot racing and the
  pentathlon.

Gods and Goddesses

• The king of the gods was Zeus, he had a daughter
  Athena and a wife, Hera. Athena is the goddess of
  love, war and wisdom. There is also a god called
  Hephaestos he is charge of blacksmiths.

Who were the Ancient Greeks?

The Ancient Greeks lived about three thousand,
five hundred years ago. They loved to think,
talk, listen to music and beauty, the seas that
surround Greece are the Mediterranean and the
Agean.
