Title: Parr Series 4870 Process Controllers
1Parr Series 4870 Process Controllers
Parr Instrument Company is now offering a
new model computer based Process Control
System. The principle features of this controller
include        PC control with graphical
user interface.       Based on Honeywell
universal multi-loop controller (UMC
800) for proven industrial design and
support.       Modular design for unusual
adaptability and expandability.      Â
Independent controller with integrated safety
features.       Control capabilities for up to
8 independent reactors.       Process control
recipe programming.       Multi-loop
capability.
2The three primary controller components
are  1. Personal Computer running any current
windows operating system. This becomes the
users control station. It can be conveniently
located. A variety of graphical user interfaces
are available. 2.   Control Module. This is the
heart of the 4870 Process Controller. All
control actions are generated in this module (not
the PC). It can be equipped with a variety of
modules to tailor it to the operators individual
installation. Both the hardware and the
operating software can be readily revised if
operations change. 3.   Power Controller. All
high current load handling relays and motor speed
controls are located in the 4875 Power
Controllers. These power controllers are matched
to the requirements of the individual systems
being controlled.
