Assessment Comments
  • This is a great way for individuals to be
reminded that we are working as an organization
    to achieve a common goal.
  • Loved the wealth of information during the
    Courtyard Picnic.
  • Having the academic department meetings before
the dinner is a real plus. And having FT and
    adjuncts together worked well, also.

18
Assessment Comments
  • I love this week! I always get the "back to
school" buzz during the Celebration of Learning.
  • Thank you for the good mix of academic and social
    events!
  • NO MORE EVENING FACULTY meeting - that was waste
of a day waiting around for the evening meeting
too far to go home and no where to work on
    campus.

19
Assessment Comments
  • All employee sessions are great but unless the
campus closes down ALL EMPLOYEES CANNOT ATTEND.
Each year there are very short windows of
opportunity to attend events or only one event is
scheduled. Not all are able to participate under
    this format.
  • Celebration of Learning and Celebration of
Service are important events in the life of the
employees. They should be celebrations!! By
taking the time to focus the faculty and staff
you show that they're appreciated as employees
and hopefully they'll start to embrace those
    events even more.

20
Our Challenges Yet!
  • One College Concept with the Multi-Campus Staff
  • Full-time Faculty Contract Whats Required?
  • Multiple Academic Meetings
  • Continuing to reduce duplication
  • Combined Academic Department Meetings
  • Full-time and adjunct faculty together
  • Still seen as a Faculty Event despite Staff
    Involvement but improving!

21
Big Ideas from YOUR College?
  • New Faculty Orientation
  • Veteran Faculty Engagement
  • Adjunct Faculty
  • Food and Social Events
  • Committees and Groups
  • Learning Events
  • Staff (Non-Teaching) Involvement
  • General Sessions, State of the College
  • Speakers
