Introduction
  • SHAPE is a system to allow users to create and
    play location based scavenger hunts on
    cooperatively developed maps that reflects the
    real world.
  • Three components
  • Explore and play games (Our focus)
  • Create games
  • Create maps

Introduction
  • The games themselves may require a physical
    presence in the vicinity of the virtual game to
    actually participate.
  • At this location they may find larger physical
    screens to see overall views and scoreboards and
    will be able to interact in person with the folks
    they will play with, and against, in the game.

  • The hunt may consist of a series of puzzles that
    users must solve to determine the next clue,
    thereby driving them along a specific sequence of
    locations and logic.
  • It may also be less guided. Containing clues, and
    side prizes placed throughout the area, so that
    each time a player plays the game is new and
    different.

  • Users create clues and puzzle steps and string
    them together to make compelling and playable
    games. They also set the parameters of the game.
