OUR PLACE OUR ENVIRONMENT

• Activity we walked around our neighbourhood in
  order to collect information
• Date October 21st.
• Time 2 to 5 p.m.

COLLECTED INFORMATION

• 3 sounds birds, cars, wind
• 3 colours green, white, blue
• 3 smells empanada, dog, petrol
• 3 people nurse, children riding bikes, friends
• 3 signs car stop, taxi stop, school bus
• 3 natural things, animals and plants trees,
  birds, sea

What is your place like?

• Ushuaia is located in the South of Tierra del
  Fuego, in Argentina. It is on the mountains. It
  covers an area of approximately 5.000 hectareas
  2.
• About 48.000 people live in the city.
• We walked around a very big place. It has a lot
  of buildings

• We most like December and January because it is
  sunny and hot, although some people enjoy skiing
  in July, in winter.
• We dont like June, July or August because it is
  cold.
• We live with our mum, dad, brothers and sisters.
  Some of us also live with grandparents.

• We live in medium houses, most of us in flats
  with two or three bedrooms.
• There a lot of Green spaces all around the
  buildings.
• People throw garage around the school and dogs
  spread it everywhere.

• When we are not at school, we play outside with
  friends, watch television at home, practice
  sports (depends on the weather)
• Shops are very near our flats markets, kiosks,
  stationary shop.

How do you feel about your place?

• This place is special to us because of nature,
  green spaces which we call campito, our
  friends, the canal Beagle.
• Other people like Ushuaia because of green spaces
  near home, the family and friends.
• If we moved away, we would miss friends,
  relatives, places and the mountains.

What does your place look like?
Mount Olivia. Can be seen from most of our
windows

Connection with other places

• Today, as we are on a pic nic with friends we ate
  sandwiches, snacks, drink soda
• During the week, we bought sweets, candies, a
  chicken, a hot dog, coke, food.

• We listen pop, rock, reggeton, national rock,
  electronic and cumbia. None of us listens to
  tango.
• During the week we watched films and soap operas
  (Sos mi vida and Montecristo), cartoons.
• At the moment most of us are wearing tracksuits,
  trainers, t-shirts

• We left on a Saturday at noon. We walked around
  the neighbourhood, and did the first part of the
  activity. As green spaces are very near our
  homes, we walked to Playa Larga. There we share
  lunch then we finished work.
