Mission
Through responsive and inclusive leadership, the
Community Alliance for Diversity serves as a
catalyst to create and sustain a healthy
multicultural community.

Guiding Vision For Our Current Activity
The Community Alliance for Diversity will provide
primary leadership for the advancement of
diversity and social justice issues in the
Corvallis area.

Key elements of our preferred future include

• to enjoy a sustained life
• act as a facilitator (enable) of on-going
  education related to diversity
• be a resource for other community entities
  concerned with advancing diversity and learning
• advance the development of a multicultural
  community

• provide visible support for targeted and
  marginalized groups
• be recognized by the community as a support
  network and for building a diverse community
• be a source of leadership for equity and justice
  issues

CADs Primary Responsibilities

• Convening essential dialogues related to
  diversity and social justice
• Initiating programming which builds community
  and educates
• Exercising responsible stewardship for community
  resources

Specific Activities/Initiatives We Will Undertake

• Convene a cross-section of community members to
  identify strategic initiatives and themes that
  our community and CAD should focus on in the
  subsequent year this activity will allow for
  better collaboration and more focused community
  efforts

Specific Activities/Initiatives We Will Undertake

• Provide leadership and connections for those who
  may want to bring major speakers/events to the
  community with the goal of making the events
  more community-wide in scope and broadening the
  community impact of those events. This allows
  CAD to serve a bridge-building function

• Develop and maintain an up-to-date organizational
  calendar of collaborative and CAD-initiated
  activities enacted to achieve our mission and
  vision

• Manage the omsbud contract in a way that utilizes
  available community services, resources and
  networks, among the primary activities of that
  contract include
• Outreach to targeted and marginalized groups
• Documenting community incidents
