Largest consumer of residential, commercial, and
transportation energy.

Global Warming Solutions Act (AB 32)
signed into law September 27, 2006.
5GHG REDUCTION A GROUP EFFORT
AB32 joins forces with ongoing efforts to
mitigate the GHG impacts of energy generation
in the state.
6ENERGY EFICIENCY
Sustainable building design can substantially
reduce the amount of energy consumed.
7RENEWABLE PORTFOLIO STANDARD
California has the most ambitious renewable
energy portfolio standard. 20 renewables by
2010, and a target of 33 by 2020.
8TRANSPORTATION
Leadership in research and market implementation
of sustainable or green transportation
solutions in California will substantially reduce
emissions.
