• Jesus is our healer!

1st Reading

• This was written during the Babylonian exile. It
  was a message of encouragement in which all of
  Israels ailments will be taken away. Then nature
  herself will be at the peoples service.

2nd Reading

• St. James reminds us to see things with the eyes
  of faith. In this way, we have no favoritism
  towards others. We hope that whoever God chooses
  will also be our choice.

Gospel

• Jesus messianic actions prefigure the sacraments
  He intend to institute. His words and actions
  become a reality. This passage also contains the
  famous Marcan messianic secret.

Jesus, our Lord, is our healer !

• But how can this happen?
• 1st We have to accept that we have an ailment.
• - I am blind
• - I am deaf
• - I am mute

• 2nd We approach Jesus for healing
• How ?
• Through the sacraments The Eucharist,
  Reconciliation, Anointing, etc.
• We have forgotten that the sacraments are
  vehicles of graces.

• Let us remember that if we are always in Gods
  grace then nature itself will come to our
  service to heal us (1st Reading).
