  • Nobility -large landholders who answered to the
    king and gave land to vassals
  • Knights -warrior class who provided protection
    for serfs and military service to vassals
  • Serfs -poor class who provide labor for
    knights/lords in exchange for protection
  • Fiefs -land that is granted to lesser people in
    exchange for money and military service
