  • The voices of students
  • Mr. Ho Leung(Age 78)
  • Before joining the UITP course, I have no idea
what internet is about because I do not have the
confidence in learning computer or internet
skills due to my weak ability to comprehend.
  • After I finished the course, I became very
interested in using the computer and internet.
  • I now can communicate with my friends via e-mail
and send them e-cards at different festivals.
  • I think the UITP course is suitable for users who
do not have any experience in using computer or
    the internet especially the elderly.

42
  • The voices of students
  • Mrs. Ng Fung Kuen (Age 35)
  • I believe that the internet is very important to
our work and in our daily life.
  • It is crucial for women and parents to learn how
to surf the internet. A while ago, the school my
son attended started encouraging parents to
communicate with them using email. However, I
knew nothing about the internet, browser or email
    at the time.
  • After attending the UITP course, I can now browse
the school homepage, read the notices, and other
school information and even send emails.
  • The UITP course has helped me learn basic
internet skills and thus improved the
relationship with my son as we can now surf the
    internet together.
