Aalsmeer, Auction Naaldwijk and the VGB) accepted
the DD systematic - In 2003 CC and the Danish Danpot organization
agreed to use the DD systematic (ready on April
15, 2004).

- Order
- Order response
- Delivery notification
- A number of codes lists, related to these EDIfact
messages - Product codes
- Packaging codes

- The catalogue of the DD systematic
- It is NOT
- A (computer) system
- A network
- A mailboxing system
12What is the European Offer Service (EOS)?
13What is the European Offer Service (EOS)?
- An Internet based application
- Build and owned by DD ( CC)
- Based on the DD standard EDI(fact) messages and
code lists - Private market place for pot plants ( members
only) - A market place where European sellers/growers can
meet European buyers/traders
14What is the European Offer Service (EOS)?
Concept of the EOS (1)Seller/Grower side
- Growers store offer information in database
connected to the Internet - on-line or
- via EDI(fact) messages
- Offers can be addressed (with different prices)
to all buyers/traders or to distribution lists
with one or more names - Offers can be connected to generic or actual (own
made) images - Orders are received as e-mail or EDI(fact) order
- After sending a confirmation the deal is closed
- Grower and trader must agree about transportation
(prices are ex works)
15What is the European Offer Service (EOS)?
Concept of the EOS (2)Buyers/Trader side
- Traders look/browse in All offers (visible for
all traders) or in Direct offers (only visible
for specific traders) - There are different search mechanism to find the
right products - They shop and put products in one or more baskets
(one basket per grower) - When they leave the market, the basket(s) must
be confirmed ( order(s) sent to grower(s)) - When an confirmation is received the deal is
closed - Trader and growers must agree about
transportation (prices are ex works)
16Why the DD systematic and EOS?
17Why the DD systematic?
- The DD systematic is the only European standard
there is - Holland is dominant/leading in European
horticulture sector - Have a standard is much more beneficial than keep
on searching for the best standard
(Apple-Windows, Video VCC2000-VHS etc.) - The Danish DANPOT accepted the systematic
- Avoid to become an island, connect to the
possible future European standard back-bone
18Why EOS?
- EOS is owned and set-up by an independent party
(DDCC) - EOS is an opportunity to sell/market your
products via other channels - EOS uses the Internet as fast growing sales
channel - EOS is based on the DD standard systematic
- EOS is not developed to make money but to improve
efficiency in the supply chain
