About WRAP

• WRAP provides an opportunity for California
  businesses to gain public recognition for their
  outstanding efforts to reduce waste.
• All businesses and private nonprofit
  organizations with California facilities are
  encouraged to apply for the award.
• Awards attained due to their voluntary efforts,
  while they assist cities and counties to meet the
  AB 939 diversion goals.

• Since 1993, WRAP has honored over 15,350
  businesses and non-profits
• Proposed awards in 2006 1,254 WRAP winners and 5
  WOTY awards
• 52 counties (out of 58) are represented statewide
• Approximately 1.2 Million Tons diverted with a
  cost savings of over 112 Million
