The early church experiences God

• Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe and many
  wonders and signs were taking place through the
  apostles.
• And all those who had believed were together and
  had all things in common and they began selling
  their property and possessions and were sharing
  them with all, as anyone might have need.

• Day by day continuing with one mind in the
  temple, and breaking bread from house to house,
  they were taking their meals together with
  gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God
  and having favor with all the people.

God is Omnipresent

• Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I
  flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven,
  You are there If I make my bed in Sheol, behold,
  You are there.
• If I take the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in
  the remotest part of the sea, even there Your
  hand will lead me, and Your right hand will lay
  hold of me.
• If I say, "Surely the darkness will overwhelm me,
  and the light around me will be night," even the
  darkness is not dark to You, and the night is as
  bright as the day. Darkness and light are alike
  to You.

Sometimes He invades the Natural

• The chief priests and Pharisees had given Judas a
  squad of soldiers and police to accompany him.
  Now with blazing torches, lanterns, and weapons
  they arrived at the olive grove. Jesus fully
  realized all that was going to happen to him.
  Stepping forward to meet them he asked, "Whom are
  you looking for? "Jesus of Nazareth," they
  replied.

Saul Encounters Gods Presence

• Now Saul, still breathing threats and murder
  against the disciples of the Lord, went to the
  high priest, and asked for letters from him to
  the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found
  any belonging to the Way, both men and women, he
  might bring them bound to Jerusalem.

• As he was traveling, it happened that he was
  approaching Damascus, and suddenly a light from
  heaven flashed around him and he fell to the
  ground and heard a voice saying to him, "Saul,
  Saul, why are you persecuting Me?"

John Sees the Lord

• Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking
  with me. And having turned I saw one like a son
  of man, clothed in a robe reaching to the feet,
  and girded across His chest with a golden sash.
• His head and His hair were white like white wool,
  like snow and His eyes were like a flame of
  fire.
• His feet were like burnished bronze, when it has
  been made to glow in a furnace, and His voice was
  like the sound of many waters.

When I Saw Him

His Glory Fills the Temple

• It happened that when the priests came from the
  holy place, the cloud filled the house of the
  LORD, so that the priests could not stand to
  minister because of the cloud, for the glory of
  the LORD filled the house of the LORD.

  and the glory of the LORD upon the house, bowed
  down on the pavement with their faces to the
  ground, and they worshiped and gave praise to the

• He put anew song in my mouth, a song of praise to
  our God many will see and fear and will trust in
  the LORD.

Spiritual Songs

• And do not get drunk with wine, for that is
  dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,
  speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and
  spiritual songs, singing and making melody with
  your heart to the Lord always giving thanks for
  all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ
  to God, even the Father and be subject to one
  another in the fear of Christ.

Sing in the Spirit

• For if I pray in a language I don't understand,
  my spirit is praying, but I don't know what I am
  saying. Well, then, what shall I do? I will do
  both.
• I will pray in unknown tongues and also in
  ordinary language that everyone understands. I
  will sing in unknown tongues and also in ordinary
  language so that I can understand the praise I am
  giving

Are You Too Busy?

• Luke 1038-42
• Now as they were traveling along, He entered a
  village and a woman named Martha welcomed Him
  into her home. She had a sister called Mary, who
  was seated at the Lord's feet, listening to His
  word.
• But Martha was distracted with all her
  preparations and she came up to Him and said,
  "Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me
  to do all the serving alone? Then tell her to
  help me."

One Thing

• But the Lord answered and said to her,
• "Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered
  about so many things but only one thing is
  necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part,
  which shall not be taken away from her."
