- 17 airports
- All air-traffic control in Sweden
- Turnover of 620 M euros
- Approximately 4,000 employees
3Swedens first Climate Neutral major company
- LFV Group is working toward zero emissions of
carbon dioxidein its own operations - Focus is on actions where the possibilities to
have an effectare greatest - Electricity and heating
- Vehicles at the airport

passenger transports on the ground 2005. 359,010
tons CO2 (2004 249,950)

4The road to climate neutrality
- We have a clear focus on reducedcarbon dioxide
emissions - We invest in projects with thegreatest climate
gains - Energy savings
- Biofuel replaces oil
- Purchase of green electricity
- Clean vehicles are used
- Biogas-powered buses
5Arlanda Energi reduces carbondioxide emissions
- Supplies the most energy efficientindoor climate
as possible - Energy is saved, which benefitsthe environment
and the economy
6Pellet boilers at Sturup Airport
- Oil boilers are replaced with two new pellets
burning boilers - Carbon dioxide emissions fromSturups heating is
reduced from3,500 tons per year to 500 tonsper
year - More efficient heating andventilation systems
7Green electricity provides major emission
reductions
- LFV Group has used only green electricity since
2004 - ResultReduced emission of carbon
dioxideequivalent to 13,000 tons per year
8The worlds first airport with biogas busses
- Three biogas buses have beenpurchased
Stockholm Arlanda is most likely the only
airport in the world with biogas buses - Only clean vehicles are purchased(excluding
special vehicles) - Arlanda gives preferential rightsto
environmentally friendly taxis
9Reduced carbon dioxide emissions (tons)
- Between 2003 and 2005, LFV Groups carbon dioxide
emissions have been reduced by 57 percent
35 000 tons
22 000 tons
15 000 tons
10Compensation for remaining emissions
- CDM-certificates compensate for remaining
emissions (CDM Clean Development Mechanism) - The certificates finance emission reduction
projects in developing countries - The projects also contribute to social and
economic development - Emission reduction can be calculated based onLFV
Groups own emissions of carbon dioxide
11Clear account of the cost for emissions
- CDM-certificates provide a clear account ofwhat
carbon dioxide emissions cost. The desire
toreduce emissions is increasing and
environmentalinvestments are growing - In 2006, LFV Group purchased certificates for
emissions equivalent to 15,000 tons of carbon
dioxide 2005 emissions - The price is 12 euro per ton carbon dioxide a
total of 180 000 euros
12CMD-certificates for three projects
- Tree-planting in Costa Rica
- Wind power in China
- Biofuel-based heat productionin South Africa
13Climate Neutral LFV Group 2006-2008
- This certificate guarantees that allgreenhouse
gas (GHG) emissionsgenerated in a selected range
ofLFV Groups business activities - in total 45,000 tonnes GHG
- are offset by investments in three highquality
emission reduction projects.
14Climate work with other companies
- LFV Group has identified the climate issue as
oneof the industrys most important challenges - Since 2003, LFV Group has been a part of
BLICC(Business Leaders Initiative on Climate
Change) - BLICC assembles companies from different
industries for the joint purpose of reducing
companies climate impact and to proactively
affect future environmental requirements
