INTRODUCTION

• I would like to welcome you to third grade. My
  name is Mrs. Escamilla and I have been a teacher
  for fourteen years. I have been teaching in
  Sinton for nine years. The first five years I
  taught 5th and 6th grade Art. This will be my
  fourth year teaching third grade and I have
  really enjoyed teaching this grade level. Third
  grade is a little different than second grade. We
  will be learning a lot of new and exciting
  things.

• 800 845 Writing/DOL/Music every 3rd day
• 850 935 PE/Tutorials

• 1115 1145 Spelling/Language
• Library Monday, 1100-1130
• 1145 1215 Lunch
• 1215 1255 Silent Reading/AR Testing/Fluency
  Probes/Tutorials

• 300 330 Science/Social Studies
  Computers Thursday, 300-345
• 330 345 Copy assignments, get ready to
  dismiss

CLASSROOM PROCEDURE

• Come to class on time and with required
  materials.
• Raise your hand to speak or get up.
• Have homework ready to turn in first thing in the
  morning.
• Get all materials out of your backpack and hang
  up on hooks.
• Sharpen pencils
• No talking during announcements.
• Start working on DOL right after announcements.
• Respect others and keep your hands to yourself.
• Ask for your make-up work if you have been absent.

DISCIPLINE PROCEDURE

• Step 1 Blue - Verbal warning- no conduct mark
  deducted.
• Step 2 Yellow - Note or phone call to parent 2
  points deducted from conduct grade and 5 min.
  from recess
• Step 3 Red Note or phone call to parent 3
  pts. deducted from conduct grade and no recess.
• Step 4 Office referral consequence at
  administrative decision.

GRADING POLICY

• Numeric Grades
• A 90 100
• B 80 90
• C 70 79
• F grade below 70

Homework Policy

• Homework is due first thing in the morning.
• Points will be deducted on late or incomplete
  homework.
• Students will stay in during PE, lunch recess, or
  pm. break to complete homework.
• Parents will be notified of any late or
  incomplete homework in students homework folder.
• Please check students homework folder on Monday
  through Thursday and sign after you have checked
  your childs work.
