Thanksgiving and Beyond

1. The basis for GIVING THANKS is understanding
the CHARACTER of God. Give thanks to the LORD,
for he is good. His love endures forever.

2. Give thanks for His creation, including
ME. to him who alone does great wonders who
by his understanding made the heavens who spread
out the earth upon the waters who made the great
lights the sun to govern the daythe moon and
stars to govern the night. vss. 4-9

Give thanks
that He REMEMBERS me and PROVIDES for
me. and gave their land as an inheritance an
inheritance to his servant Israel Who remembered
us in our low estate and freed us from our
enemies... and who gives food to every creature.

• Now, our God, we give you thanks,
• and praise your glorious name.
• But who am I, and who are my people, that we
  should be able to give as generously as this?
  Everything comes from you, and we have given you
  only what comes from your hand O LORD our God,
  as for all this abundance that we have provided
  for building you a temple for your Holy Name, it
  comes from your hand, and all of it belongs to
  you.
