Igneous Rocks

• Igneous rocks are formed when lava or magma cools
  and crystallizes into a hard rock.

• Obsidian
• Basalt
• Granite
• Pumice
• Rhyolite

Sedimentary Rocks

• Sediments are formed when sediments are compacted
  and cemented together into a hard rock.

Sediments

• Sediments are small bits of rocks that are formed
  when existing rocks are exposed to the effects of
  weathering, such as wind, rain, waves, ice, and
  water.

Metamorphic Rocks

• Metamorphic rocks are formed when a certain
  amount of heat and pressure is applied to
  existing rocks in the crust.

Rock Cycle

• All existing rocks are constantly changing from
  one type into another. Each type of rock can
  become another type of rock if the right process
  occurs.
