  • Hertfordshire Supplies Catalogue contains a wide
    range of products aimed primarily at the
    Education Sector
  • The Catalogue is printed on paper produced from
    100 post consumer waste and is sent to 25,000
    customers in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire,
    Hertfordshire, Luton, Suffolk and Cumbria.

    On-line version www.hertsdirect.org/supplies
  • Warehouse in Welwyn Garden City. Distribution by
    our own vehicles (except Cumbria) using vehicle
    routing system to minimise mileage.
  • Founder Member of the Central Buying Consortium
    (CBC). Also work with Pro4 particularly with
    the Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation (ESPO)

  • Pro4 Collaboration will result in the

    materials and parks management
  • Going forward we will look to continue to work
    with the government, RCEs, Pro4 and our suppliers
    to raise the profile and availability of an ever
    increasing range of sustainable products

  • Unplanned Benefits more involvement of the VCS
    in the Economic Regeneration Agenda
  • Challenges affluent county not eligible for a
    number of regeneration funding streams but we do
    have significant pockets of deprivation

    support, cross sector working and outcome driven
    partnership working

Hertfordshire Compact
  • Commitment to work for Herts as a
    community, rather than exclusively for individual
    organisations. Compact used as the golden thread
    in partnership working. Two key areas of
    development
  • Contracting Commissioning (with HCC)
  • Funding (advice capacity building)
  • HCC committed to continuously improving its
    performance in VCS policy development.

  • 2003 for exemplary support for development of
    district Compacts
  • 2004 for advancement of Compact through
    promotional programmes
  • 2005 for VCS Policy development (Gold award)
  • 2006 for a resourced Local Area Agreement
    statement of community engagement

    application timetable for all funds,
