Slide Layouts Slide Graphics and Text
To insert a new slide Click on New Slide
button on toolbar Task pane will have slide
layout options. Most common title with bulleted
list, though there are many other layouts
available for your slides
To insert a photo Insert Picture From
File Choose the photo from your file system.
To insert text Text must be in a text box or
drawing object. If you have a slide layout with
a bulleted list, you have a text box. You can add
additional text boxes and place them where you
like on the slide. Click on the Text Box button
on the Drawing Toolbar.
  • Editing Text Placeholders
  • Text Editing (slash border) In the text
editing mode, the border looks like slashes.
Click on the text. The cursor will be flashing in
a specific place among the text, so you can edit
    text character-by-character or word-by-word.
  • Change the look of the entire text box (mesh
border) Click on the border of the text box.
The border changes slightly and looks something
like a mesh border. This mode is for changing all
the text at once, such as changing the font point
size, text alignment, or text color. Notice you
do not see the cursor when in this mode.
