  • Only 3 varieties Touriga Nacional, Touriga
    Franca and Tinta Barroca
  • Vinification
  • Fermentation in the traditional lagares. Grapes
    were crushed by foot for a few hours and during
    the fermentation a lot of pumping-over
    (remontage) to extract the colour and tannins of
    the skins. Addition of alcohol in several times
    to slow down the fermentation and increase the
    extraction of tannins.

  • Ageing in stainless tank.

  • 10 000 bottles 750ml were bottled in October
    2005.

  • Residual sugars 90g/l
  • Tasting notes
  • Deep colour, dark with violet hints. Intense
    aromas with vegetal aromas, floral and black
    berries. Concentrated in the mouth,
    well-balanced, round with ripe tannins. Long
    final with good freshness and lot of fruit..
