Chemical Recycling
Instead of disposing of hazardous chemicals that
are unused and unexpired, they may be
redistributed to other labs that may be able to
use them. This saves money for the university as
well as for the recipient and is much easier than
disposal.
The recycling of certain chemicals (alcohol,
xylene, formalin, and acetone) is performed by
EHRS. The resulting recycled product would enable
you to purchase less new product and save money
as well as minimize waste.
If you have or know of any unwanted chemicals
that are unused and unexpired, contact EHRS for
pickup and redistribution.
If you are using or in need of any chemicals that
may be included in the recycling program, contact
EHRS for further information on the possibility
of recycling or distribution of recycled product.
