- Hold chapter officer workshops prior to new
officer elections to instill leadership skills in

- Have chapter members sponsor a school clean-up
program. - Citizenship
- Visit with local senior citizens or host a
senior dance or game tournament. - Ag awareness
- Prepare agriculture lessons for elementary
schools in your district.

- Complete for state recognition Gold, Silver,
Bronze - Top three or 10, whichever is greater, of all
applications may be forwarded for national
competition. All sent must be rated Gold. - National awards of Three Star, Two Star, or One
Star

16 National Chapter Award General Tips
- Be sure to get all signatures
- Use only the space provided and do not attach
additional materials to the application. - Form I should have 15 different activities, Form
II should have 9 different activities, which may
come from Form I.

- Use size 12 pica
- Protect application in some type of binder
- Print application on white paper
- Use upper and lower case letters
- Check grammar and spelling
