• They use their front claws for grabbing food.
• They can use their claws to scare or fight
  enemies.

Big Eaters

• Most crabs are scavengers.
• They eat dead or dying animals .
• Some crabs eat plants.

Shells

• Crabs are safe in their hard shells.
• When they grow, they shed their old shell, this
  is called molting.
• In three days the shell hardens and the crab has
  a new home.

Lucky Legs

• Crabs have five pairs of legs, a wide flat body
  and a hard shell.
• If a crab loses a leg, he can grow a new one.
