Objectives
  • To encourage the formation of environment clubs
    in educational institutions
  • To support environmental activities in schools

Definition of Environment Clubs
  • Environmental activities carried out by
    dedicated environment clubs (clubs whose core
    business is to carry out environmental
    activities)
  • Activities carried out by associate environment
    clubs (clubs which conduct environment-related
    activities as part of their yearly activities
    e.g. Science clubs, Geography clubs etc)

E-Clubs Fund
  • For schools with environment clubs
  • Grants of 500 to Primary Schools 1,000 to
    Secondary Schools respectively, per CY.
  • Required to complete at least 2 environmental
    events/ activities per CY, one of which must be
    school-wide.
  • A school-wide activity is an activity that all
    students in the school can participate in. (e.g.
    assembly talk, school-wide environmental art
    competition).
  • E-clubs work plan/proposal must be submitted to
    NEA to request for the 50 upfront disbursement
    of the grant.
  • Required to submit project report to NEA (within
    1 month after the date of completion of the
    events/ activities) to request for the release of
    the remaining 50 of the grant.

E-Clubs Fund
  • For schools with associate environment clubs
  • AECs are to send in individual applications for
    the grant.
  • Grant of 250 per event/ activity, subject to a
    cap of 2 supported events/ activities per CY.
  • Max grant per school is 500.
  • Required to submit project report to NEA (within
    1 month after the date of completion of the
    events/ activities) to request for the one-off
    release of the full grant.

  • The environment club is set up to carry out
    environmental programmes/activities
  • The environment clubs may or may not be
    registered as CCA.

ECF Flowchart of Procedures (For E-Clubs)
School prepares Workplan Proposal and submits it
to the NEA (by fax/ e-submission)
NEA generates acknowledgement letter to
submitting school upon receipt of its Proposal
School submits completed DCA form to NEA to
request for upfront grant, as required
NEA disburses upfront grant of 50 to the school
School submits project report(s) to NEA within 1
month of the date of completion of environmental
event/ activity
NEA disburses the remaining 50 of the grant to
the school

AEC completes the proposed environmental event

the project report(s)
