Senior Exit Survey Gering attempts to gather
information from graduating seniors regarding
their experience at the Gering High School,
enrollment demographics, and their future plans
using Life Track Services. Eighty-seven percent
(123 out of 142) of the 2006 graduating
seniors completed the survey. Thirty-seven
percent of the students who completed the survey
indicated that they planned to attend a four
year college and forty-one percent of the
students who completed the survey indicated that
they planned to attend a two year college.
Students could be included in both groups as they
were able to mark multiple responses, therefore
actual percentage of students with plans to
attend college is unavailable. Sixty-four
percent of the students completing the survey
stated that Gering offers enough elective classes
to explore different career opportunities.
Ninety-three percent of the students completing
the survey believed they could easily find a job
to support themselves. Ninety-one percent of the
group felt they had a positive learning
experience at the Gering High School.
